Paper Airplane Crash Landing

Smooth flight from the North Pole by paper airplane, then a nose-first crash landing in the couch, your elf face down beside it.

What you need

  • a sheet of paper
  • a marker

How to set it up

  1. Fold a paper airplane from a sheet of paper and write AIR MAIL: NORTH POLE on one wing.
  2. Push the nose of the plane down into the gap between a seat cushion and the backrest, so the tail sticks up.
  3. Lay your elf face down on the seat cushion beside the plane, legs propped up on the backrest, as if it just crash-landed.

Safety check

Paper only, so toddlers are fine once the marker is put away. If the plane takes off again at breakfast, aim it away from faces. How we check

An elf doll lying face down on a couch cushion with its legs up on the backrest, beside a paper airplane stuck nose-first in the cushions, AIR MAIL: NORTH POLE written on the wing.

Note from your elf: Landing: not my best. Flight: amazing. Hello, I'm back!
