  • 5 min
  • No mess
  • Easy
  • Ages 4–7, Ages 8+

What you need

  • wrapped candy canes
  • dark paper and scissors
  • a sticky note and a pen

How to set it up

  1. Cut a small bandit mask from dark paper and slide it under the edge of your elf's cap, over the eyes.
  2. Pile wrapped candy canes around your elf, with one tucked under each arm.
  3. Stick a note on the pile that says I CAN EXPLAIN.

Safety check

Keep candy canes wrapped and out of reach of children under 4, who could choke on the pieces. How we check

An elf doll wearing a small black paper bandit mask, sitting among a pile of wrapped candy canes with one under each arm, beside a sticky note that says I CAN EXPLAIN.

Note from your elf: I can explain. I was... counting them. For Santa. Yes. Counting.
