Toilet Paper Ski Slope

Your elf found the best slope in the house, and it is two-ply.

A 5-minute idea for The Elf on the Shelf® or any elf doll.

  • A little mess
  • Easy
  • All ages

What you need

  • a roll of toilet paper
  • two craft sticks or spoons and tape
  • a few cotton balls

How to set it up

  1. Tape a long strip of toilet paper to the tub's rim, at the end farthest from the toilet, so it runs down to the floor.
  2. Tape two craft sticks or spoons to your elf's feet as skis, and scatter cotton balls at the bottom.
  3. Lay your elf face-down in the cotton snow at the bottom, skis crossed, like a wipeout.

Safety check

Keep the paper, the snow and your elf right up against the tub, clear of the doorway and the path to the toilet and sink, so nobody slips or trips at night. With a baby or toddler in the house, bunch up a white washcloth or hand towel as the snowbank instead of cotton balls. How we check

An elf doll face-down in cotton-ball snow on the floor against a bathtub, at the bottom of a toilet paper strip taped to the tub's rim, craft-stick skis crossed.

Note from your elf: Black diamond run. Zero wipeouts. Okay, one.
