Packed for the North Pole

On Christmas Eve morning, your elf is sitting on a tiny packed suitcase, ready to fly home tonight.

A 5-minute idea for The Elf on the Shelf® or any elf doll.

What you need

  • a small box
  • ribbon
  • paper and a marker

How to set it up

  1. The night before Christmas Eve, tie a ribbon around a small box so it looks like a suitcase.
  2. Add a paper luggage tag: To the North Pole. Leaving tonight!
  3. Seat your elf on top of the suitcase where the kids will see it first.

Safety check

With a toddler, skip the ribbon and draw the straps on: a ribbon slipped off the box can wrap around a neck. Set the suitcase on a table, not the floor by a bedroom door, and put the marker away. How we check

Note from your elf: All packed! One last day together. Let's make it a great one.
