Candy Cane Limbo Under the Tree

How low can your elf go? Lower than the candy cane, apparently.

A 5-minute idea for The Elf on the Shelf® or any elf doll.

  • 5 min
  • No mess
  • Easy
  • All ages

What you need

  • a full-size wrapped candy cane
  • two short stacks of books
  • a few small toys

How to set it up

  1. Make two equal stacks of books a hand-width apart by the tree, and rest a candy cane across them as the bar.
  2. Lay your elf on their back, halfway under the bar, arms flung out as if sliding through.
  3. Gather a few small toys around them as the cheering crowd.

Safety check

Leave the candy cane wrapped. For kids under 4, use a pencil as the bar and toys too big to fit in a mouth: hard candy and small toys are choking risks. How we check

Note from your elf: New limbo record! Your turn: how low can you go under a broom?
