What you need
- a step stool
- a hair tie or a twist tie
How to set it up
- Use a step stool to lift off the star, then seat your elf on the top branches, hugging the tip.
- Loop a hair tie or twist tie around your elf and the tip so they stay put.
- Set the star in your elf's usual spot, as if they swapped places.
Safety check
Use a step stool, not a chair, and put it away after. Keep your elf off the bulbs, turn the tree lights off overnight, and unplug a star that lights up before moving it. How we check
