Curtain Rod Pull-Ups

Overnight workout, curtain rod. Pull-ups attempted: lots. Pull-ups completed: almost 1.

A 2-minute idea for The Elf on the Shelf® or any elf doll.

  • 2 min
  • No mess
  • Easy
  • All ages

What you need

  • a curtain rod
  • two clothespins or binder clips
  • a sticky note and a marker

How to set it up

  1. Clip both of your elf's hands to the top of the curtain, just under the rod, with two clothespins.
  2. Let the legs dangle straight down, as if they're trying very hard to pull up.
  3. Stick a sticky note on the wall beside the curtain: PULL-UPS: ALMOST 1.

Safety check

Use a step stool, not a chair, to reach the rod, and put it away after. How we check

An elf doll hanging from the top of a curtain under the rod, both hands clipped on with clothespins, beside a sticky note that says PULL-UPS: ALMOST 1.

Note from your elf: Almost one pull-up! Not giving up, though. I'll just hang in there.
