What you need

  • a whiteboard or paper
  • a marker
  • a pencil

How to set it up

  1. Draw a sun, a cloud and lots of snowflakes on the board.
  2. Write today's forecast: Snow, with a chance of cocoa.
  3. Set your elf by the board, pointing with a pencil.

Safety check

Use a dry-erase marker on a whiteboard, never a permanent one. In a toddler room, give your elf an unsharpened pencil as the pointer. How we check

An elf doll pointing a pencil at a whiteboard with a drawn sun, cloud and snowflakes and a forecast that says SNOW WITH A CHANCE OF COCOA.

Note from your elf: North Pole forecast: snow, snow and more snow. Dress warm!
